This lab includes specialized areas for analytical testing, in-vitro cell culture, tissue processing, molecular biology, wet chemistry and process development.
Reporting to the Lab Operations Manager, Bldg. 104, this position is responsible for performing specialized duties required for the operations of the R&D lab, which includes supporting daily lab operations, assisting in driving lab compliance, supporting EHS compliance monitoring, document control and record management, inventory control, receiving, equipment maintenance, vendor management, technical project executions, and assisting in activities geared towards bio-/chemical safety and lab hygiene.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, which includes but not limited to the following:
Assist in driving and enforcing standardization, harmonization and compliance across the various labs
Assist in ensuring lab compliance with all regulatory requirements including established Tissue Technology Product Development Laboratory equipment and safety procedures.
Generate standard operating procedures according to good documentation practices.
Maintain organization of R&D quality documents and operations records
Supports corporate and regulatory audits and related gap & non-conformance remediations.
Keeps accurate tracking and monitoring of lab chemical and consumable inventory
Ensures good documentation practices” compliance for equipment usage through proper documentation in equipment logbooks
Maintenance of chemical inventory records and compliance of chemical handling procedures, including periodic chemical/hazardous waste pick-up
Ensures that equipment and instruments are functioning properly through calibration / preventive maintenance programs, repairs, and qualification programs (as dictated by managing equipment service contracts), which are scheduled in timely manner to prevent any disruptions (along with required records management and control of all documents generated related to such activities)
Exercise oversight of vendors and critical supplier technicians when on site.
Assist site EHS&S committee to support initiatives as needed
Assist procurement logistics and inhouse receiving system to ensure lab operations continuity.
Support research and development projects by assisting in executing assays, sample prep and bench work under supervision of scientists
Maintain flexible schedule to address lab adverse events
Exercise problem solving skills to identify potential lab issues, assess their impact and develop and implement action plans to maintain lab operations without disruptions
Employ strong interpersonal, communication (orally and written) and negotiation skills with all levels of personnel and management to facilitate information flow among stakeholders
Operates solely in compliance with the policies, procedures and laws which govern Integra
Perform all other duties as required
